In football, you often hear the cliché "it always looks worse in slow motion."
Well in MMA everything looks much, much better in slow motion. The minutiae of movement, the rippling impact and the speed of recovery is all picked up with higher quality on slow motion cameras than it is live and the UFC have released this video of some highlights of UFC 189 through the lens of their Fight Motion camera. The wars between Thomas Almeida and Brad Pickett and Jeremy Stephens and Dennis Bermudez both feature as does the legendary battle between Robbie Lawler and Rory MacDonald which will go down as one of the greatest welterweight fights of all time.
