Australian radio host Jason Ellis is well known for his passion for the sport of MMA. However, he took things to a whole new level at his 10th annual ‘Ellismania’ boxing event on Saturday.

During the event, the 43-year-old DJ squared off against ten professional opponents in the ring for one minute each. He took on a host of combat sports stars including UFC legends Forrest Griffin and Keith Jardine. However, by far the most bizarre match-up at the show was against UFC bantamweight and former WEC champion Urijah Faber.

The California Kid, put on his best pair of fighting jeans and slugged it out with the amateur fighter. It’s hard to tell from the all-out beatdown Faber puts on, but Ellis actually has 70 lbs and six inches on the MMA superstar. Ellis did remarkably well to hang in there with Faber who was unrelenting with his strikes, and even followed it up with another bout.

Let’s hope Uncle Dana didn’t catch a glimpse of his employee taking part in a brawl when he’s supposed to be training for his main event clash against Frankie Edgar in May.
