VIDEO: Lead-handed Doo Ho Choi simply refuses to stop knocking foes out in the first round

A terrifying featherweight

‘The Korean Superboy’ is a pretty decent nickname but, just in case Doo Ho Choi is looking for an alternative, ‘The People Folder’ would also be accurate.

Choi moved to 15-1 at The Ultimate Fighter 23 Finale on Friday night and, in the process, continued his perfect UFC record of first round knockouts.

The South Korean featherweight calmly dealt with the early grappling of experienced UFC veteran Thiago Tavares and, after less than three minutes, Choi decided to do what he does best.

A straight right took Tavares’ legs from under him and as he crumpled to the mat, Choi landed another right hand before delaying and allowing referee Herb Dean to assess Tavares and jump in.

Not only is he knocking people unconscious at will but he’s also admirably refusing to do any unnecessary damage.

Choi took out his first UFC opponent in 18 seconds and his second, Sam Sicilia, in 1:33.

He needed 2:42 to get the job done on Friday night and, if he’s not careful, he might actually see a second round at some stage.
