After being completely dominated on the ground by Gegard Mousasi, Uriah Hall got his ass back up and knocked the MMA veteran out in early in the second round, starting the finish with a monstrous spinning back kick. Hall showed so much promise early in his UFC career, particularly with his devastating spinning hook kick that rendered Adam Cella unconscious in the Ultimate Fighter. However, his form in the promotion had been fairly mixed, with the New York native losing to John Howard and Rafael Natal while scoring impressive victories against unimpressive opposition such as Ronald Stallings and an over the hill Chris Leben. However, he proved the haters wrong by claiming easily the biggest scalp of his career in Japan agains the former Strikeforce champion.
