Having interviewed a number of people in the MMA community, we can promise you first-hand that fighters are some of the nicest group of athletes you’re ever likely to meet.
But who are the nicest among them?
Former UFC fighter Kenny Florian and current UFC welterweight Jake Ellenberger weighed in with who they consider to be the soundest gents in the promotion.
Florian, a lovely fellow in himself by all accounts, reckons that welterweight legend Georges St-Pierre is his pick for nicest guy in the UFC with Junior Dos Santos, Mark Munoz, Clay Guida and Gilbert Melendez filling out his top five.
Ellenberger, whose latest victory came via a stunning D’arce choke submission of Josh Koscheck, picked five wrestlers as his nice lads with Mark Munoz getting top spot and Clay Guida, Patrick Cummins, TJ Dillashaw and Chael Sonnen wrapping up the five.
We’ve not met any of those ten selections, and we’re sure they’re lovely fellas, but there’s a lot to be said for Paddy Holohan being the nicest man in the sport. Some man for the chats.
