Cowboy was heading up a Q & A ahead of last night's UFC 185 weigh-ins and was in typically hilarious form.
Most of the questions related to his upcoming lightweight championship elimination bout against Khabib Nurmagomedov.
But, to nobody's surprise, the subject of Ireland's own Conor McGregor was brought up with one fan asking how much the trash talking of the Dubliner irritated Cerrone.
In response, Cowboy said: "Oh no, we can't talk about the golden child like that.
"I want to still be employed with the UFC," Cerrone laughed as he joked about the amount of backing that the Las Vegas promotion has given to The Notorious.
But the perennial lightweight contender added that he respected McGregor's ability.
"Conor's doing a great job" he said.
"He talked himself right into a title shpt."
"He fights! Everybody talks about it being a test and then he wins. Now he's got a real test [against Jose Aldo].
"What if he wins? Then you've got to shut the fuck up."
Cerrone has spoken before about being willing to fight McGregor, who has competed at lightweight before, and we're getting very excited about the prospective a match-up of these two fan favourites.
