In the euphoria of yet another big win for Conor McGregor in the UFC, there was some bad news for Irish MMA fans last night. It had been hinted at yesterday in a post on the Boston Celtics website but in the post-match press conference UFC supremo Dana White confirmed that a title fight between the Dubliner and Jose Aldo would take place in Las Vegas.
Curfews, costs and the weather were all cited by White as reasons why Dublin couldn't happen this time. White didn't rule out ever coming to Dublin but he was clear it would not happen this time.
