We get a peek at both sides of the life of Conor McGregor in the latest episode of the UFC 189 Embedded series as the Dubliner enjoys a shopping spree with girlfriend Dee Devlin before upping the intensity of his padwork with Owen Roddy to attempt to shed those last few pounds. Mendes doesn't seem to have the same luck of the Irish as his plane to Las Vegas is cancelled and he is forced to rethink his plans to make it to the fight capital of the world but his girlfriend reveals that he's been sleep-talking with the phrase "let's make it happen." Welterweight challenger Rory MacDonald manages to get to his hotel and receives some osteopathic therapy. Fellow 170 lbers Brandon Thatch and Matt Brown are both filmed doing their damnedest to be good as they finish out their weight cut.
