"I have no message for him. He didn't show up. This is my night."
Conor McGregor wasn't wasting his big night talking about a man who wasn't a part of it.
In the aftermath of his victory over Chad Mendes, McGregor strutted the corridors of the MGM Grand with his interim belt draped around his shoulder and he simply refused to talk about Jose Aldo.
With a provisional date set for a rescheduled fight with the Brazilian in what would now be a unification bout, McGregor couldn't have cared one bit about Aldo as he spoke calmly about his clash with Mendes and what lies ahead.
