Irish UFC fighter Cathal Pendred is heading up Safe Ireland's Man Up campaign for 2015.
The campaign aims to promote the positive and powerful role that men can play in ending domestic violence, in challenging abuse and supporting women and children.
An EU wide survey found that 26% of women in Ireland experienced physical and/or sexual abuse since they were 15, while 79% of women never tell anyone about the abuse they endured.
A powerful new web film for the campaign has been released featuring Pendred sharing his thoughts, understanding and concern on the subject of domestic violence.
