Ahead of his UFC 181 fight with Gilbert Melendez, UFC Lightweight Champions Anthony Pettis stopped and spoke to TMZ Sports on the streets of New York.
It is only a short video but the champion, carrying the belt of course, was asked if he, a third degree black belt in taekwondo, would beat Vladimir Putin, a ninth degree black belt.
While we reckon Putin is one wily fecker in a fight, he is in his sixties while Pettis is 27 with a 17-2 record in MMA. We're backing Pettis in this one and the champ agrees.
The UFC man also mentions that he trains in the same gym as Houston Texans behemoth JJ Watt and he reveals that the NFL star is simply awesome to watch at work. We can only imagine.
