UFC fighter reveals worst injury he, or any human being, has ever suffered

Not that. Not THAT!

Okay, we’re looking at this from an extremely male perspective.

The fight game can be a cruel, masochistic mistress at times.

Amid talk of injuries, fighting through the pain barrier and the clusterbomb that is now UFC 196’s main event, heavyweight contender Josh Barnett revealed the worst injury he ever suffered in the octagon.

Barnett has an MMA record of 34-7 but claims to have another 16 unsanctioned wins to his name.

He has been fighting professionally since 1997 so has had his fair share of injuries. Nothing, however, compares to one knock that befell him a few years back. Barnett remarked:

“Bent penis. Yep. It was the worst injury but it did give me a new, creative angle on life.”

When life hands you lemons, keep them away from your bent penis.

Barnett, who has offered to step into the UFC 196 main event slot, also told reporters about the worst injury he ever went into a fight with.

He said, “I had stressed out rotator cuffs and a torn labrum [shoulder cartilage] and I went in and fought Mirko ‘Cro Cop’ and my arm came out. There you go.

“I’ve walked into the ring with many injuries, most of them psychological… We’re supposed to be swimming in a sea of tough guys but sometimes you’re going to get things that not everybody understands.”
