Tony Ferguson had to set a divisional record of 10 consecutive victories to win the interim belt. Khabib Nurmagomedov is undefeated in a staggering 25 professional bouts. They’ve tried to put this fight on three times before but now seems like the perfect moment for these two to collide.
Ferguson is a unique individual with an insane work ethic who leans towards the unconventional in terms of training and striking. Nurmagomedov used to wrestle bears as a kid. Not that you would be able to tell from the official promo that dropped during the spectacular UFC 222 card.
