UFC 215 has officially been scrapped, which makes complete sense.
Although it was never officially announced, the UFC 215 pay-per-view event was listed on the promotion's schedule up until relatively recently.
The Seattle card was expected to feature pound-for-pound king Demetrious Johnson's potential record-breaking title defence. While TJ Dillashaw put himself forward to take on 'Mighty Mouse,' he has since announced his intention to wait for a crack at the 135 lb belt against Cody Garbrandt at a later date.
This means that if Johnson could come to an agreement with the UFC, he would have been likely defending his title against top 125-er Ray Borg on August 19.

If the penny hasn't dropped, the reason for the card being cancelled is clearly because Conor McGregor is scheduled to box Floyd Mayweather the following week in what promises to be the biggest PPV of 2017, possibly ever. Although the UFC is not an official promoter of the fight, they will be helping out with the marketing and will run a UFC Embedded series that week.
The card originally dubbed UFC 216 in Edmonton on September 9 will now be renamed UFC 215.
This isn't the first time a UFC card has been scrapped. In fact, it's not even the first time it's happened in 2017. UFC 208 was originally set to go down in Anaheim on January 15, but it was moved to Brooklyn on February 11.
