Super heavyweight pukes his way to a defeat in outsized MMA clash

Sick stoppage

Darragh Murphy

When the big men take to the cage, it can be dangerous for a number of reasons.

For the fighters, the danger exists due to the fact that they hit harder than competitors in lower weight classes so a knockout is always around the corner.

For the fans, there’s a danger that the fight becomes boring due to the fact that larger fighters tend to gas more quickly and the bout can descend into a tiresome clinchfest against the fence.

That’s not to mention the danger that exists when Jesse Reasoner is involved because, apparently, there is a distinct possibility that he will vomit in the centre of the cage and ruin everything for everybody.

Reasoner was seemingly on his way to a victory over Sean Needham at KnockOut Promotions’ 57th event over the weekend.

But as he continued to come forward with strikes, the steam promptly ran out of the super heavyweight contest when Reasoner fell ill in the second round.

The weak-stomached among you may want to avoid watching the above clip, in which Reasoner vomits and is ultimately disqualified, handing his opponent the strangest win of his career.

He shouldn’t expect that call from the UFC any time soon.
