Ronda Rousey reveals her favourite UFC fighter and it’s not Conor McGregor

No arguments with her choice

In fairness, there is very little arguing with her number one.

Rowdy is a big fan of Mighty Mouse.

The women’s bantamweight champion has opened up about a range of issues ever since her demolition of Bethe Correia at UFC 190.

While most, including ourselves, are fixated on a fight that will never happen [against Floyd Mayweather], Rousey has been open and honest about life as the UFC’s biggest star.

During an ‘Ask Me Anything’ session on reddit, the American revealed she has little say on her image rights and raved about her favourite male fight in the promotion.

First up, though, her favourite Game of Thrones character.

Rousey revealed, ‘I always get super stoked when I see it’s a Daenarys chapter, and would get really bummed when I saw it was a Catelyn [Stsrk] chapter. But for some reason my heart is always Team Stark.’

Now, to the serious stuff.

Queried on whether she worried about the UFC misrepresenting her, and her image, Rousey replied:

‘I accept that I have NO control over my image already. So, I try not to let the state of my perception have any effect on my happiness.

‘You can never truly know anyone through only media anyway. If anything I just try to keep in mind that I’m an entertainer and not a politician or Miss America.’

As for her favourite fighter, the UFC flyweight champion trumped the likes of Conor McGregor, Robbie Lawler and Jose Aldo.

‘Demetrious Johnson,’ she said.

Rousey added, ‘I think he’s the most well-rounded and I feel like I’m watching one of the later episodes of Dragon Ball Z, when you only see one second of action going on between them disappearing ‘cuz they’re going so damn fast.

‘I wouldn’t be surprised if rocks start levitating around the ring because of all the energy emanating from it.

‘Mighty Mouse vs. Dominick Cruz was one of my favourite (and most under-appreciated) fights ever.’

Rousey Cyborg

Rousey’s take on her being constantly linked to a fight with Cris Cyborg shows her lighter side.

‘Having the same conversation over and over reminds me of bar-tending, and I’m thankful for the training I received having to deal with stupid questions from repetitive drunks. I only do it because I know I’ll receive tips at the end ;)’

Yep, that’s a winky face.
