In case you were in any doubt over PED use being an epidemic in MMA, let Smile'n Sam Alvey enlighten you.
The rising UFC middleweight gave his take on PEDs in the UFC in recent interview on the P4P podcast. So many high profile names such as Anderson Silva, Chael Sonnen, Wanderlei Silva and Hector Lombard have already been popped for using illegal substances. However, Alvey believes that this is merely the tip of the iceberg. He also admitted he didn't judge Fedor Emelianenko for allegedly using PEDs during the PRIDE years."Everyone takes them. I think even in today’s UFC most the guys today take them. It was an even playing field even if he (Fedor) was on steroids, so was everyone else."Nothing new there. We already know UFC fighters do PEDs. Joe Rogan claims that as many as 60% of the current UFC roster are juicing. So, how bad does Alvey think the problem is?
