It seems that Usada are overcompensating following the controversy over Brock Lesnar’s drug test exemption.

A lot of people weren’t happy when it was announced that Brock Lesnar would be getting special treatment from the UFC for his highly anticipated return to the Octagon against Mark Hunt at UFC 200.

Athletes coming out of retirement must make themselves available for drug testing in the four months prior to their return under the terms of the promotion’s anti-doping policy.

However, because of how close the deal was struck between the WWE, Lesnar and the UFC to their landmark event in July, the promotion granted him an exemption from the rule.

His opponent was not impressed.

However, the waiver doesn’t mean that Lesnar isn’t being tested before his date with the Samoan knockout monster. Quite the contrary.

This week alone, the former UFC heavyweight champion has been tested five times, more than twice any other athlete during that period.

Although these statistics will do nothing to change Hunt’s mind about Lesnar, as the Super Samoan suggested the WWE superstar could still be coming off a cycle during a recent interview.

Other takeaways from these statistics is that Conor McGregor and Holly Holm remain king and queen of PED testing, with 13 apiece in total while Anderson Silva is the most tested fighter this year with Usada taking samples 11 times between January and the the week of June 20.
