The UFC are taking no chances when it comes to fighter safety at UFC 190.

The promotion has provided a warning to the traveling staff to be extra careful if leaving the host hotel ahead of the Rio de Janeiro event which is headlined by Ronda Rousey and Bethe Correia. The precautionary memo includes advice to fighters not to leave the hotel on foot, to avoid opening their hotel room door to strangers and to ensure that any taxis in which they travel are legitimate. FrontRowBrian leaked a screenshot of the memo online and it will make for concerning reading for some fighters who are travelling to Brazil for the first time. The host hotel for Saturday's event is located close to the Vidigal favela which has a reputation as being dangerous for tourists which raises the question "why aren't traveling fans being issued the same safety warning?"
