The Diamond's looking rough after eating some heavy strikes from Joseph Duffy.
Dustin Poirier solidified his position as one of the most promising lightweight prospects in the UFC with his unanimous decision victory over Joe Duffy on the preliminary card of UFC 195. However, it wasn't an easy night's work for the Diamond as the judges' scorecards might suggest.
Although Poirier dominated with his wrestling, it was the Irishman who was having arguably more success on the feet. Duffy managed to "crush" Poirier's nose with his punching power and it was later confirmed that the American suffered a broken nose during the which needed corrective surgery.
Poirier posted an update on his Instagram account revealing that the surgery went well and he should be back training within six weeks.
