NFL star Derek Carr asks Dana White to set up fight with pundits

Odds have been released on a potential boxing match between Carr and Stephen A. Smith

This is the American equivalent of Paul Pogba calling out Graeme Souness for a good old-fashioned punch-up.

Derek Carr is sick of listening to his critics and he has asked UFC President Dana White to set up a mixed martial arts fight with either Stephen A. Smith or Max Kellerman.

The Oakland Raiders quarterback has called out the First Take hosts after Kellerman suggested that the Raiders were set to cut their losses with Carr, whose character was also called into question in the segment.

The criticism clearly became too much for Carr and while he seemingly aimed his challenge at Kellerman, Smith was the first to respond to the above tweet.

Smith unsurprisingly doesn’t sound too keen on exchanging punches with Carr, who was drafted by the Raiders in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft, but he did offer to have the quarterback sit down with him for an interview on ESPN.

Interestingly, US betting company Bovada have already provided odds for a potential Carr vs. Smith celebrity boxing match and shockingly, the divisive broadcaster is a slight favourite over the professional athlete who is in his prime.

Smith opens up as a 77/100 favourite over Carr, who is just over 9/10, although there is little chance of the bout coming to fruition, which is an absolute shame.
