MMA legend Mirko Cro Cop is on his way back to the UFC

Let the left high-kick KOs commence

We’re hoping this doesn’t turn out as we think it will.

Mirko Cro Cop (30-11-2, 1 NC) has signed a new deal with the UFC, according to MMAFighting.com and we’re torn between excitement and worry.

The excitement comes from the fact that the MMA legend has the opportunity to add to his amazing highlight reel of left high-kick knockouts.

The worry comes from the little matter of Cro Cop being 40 years old.

Among the hardcore fans of MMA, Cro Cop is a mainstay on the list of most entertaining fighters to watch (along with Wanderlei Silva, Anderson Silva and Fedor Emelianenko).

But the last time the Croatian attempted a run in the UFC, he finished with a promotional record of 4-6 with five of his losses coming before the final bell which would suggest that he was far from his best even back then.

But since leaving the UFC, he has amassed a 3-1 MMA record and a 7-1 kickboxing record so he may have found a new lease of life.

Here’s to hoping that he has a few decent performances before he hangs up his gloves before it’s too late.
