It is looking increasingly likely that a newly crowned UFC champion will fight Irish WWE star

What a sight this would be

Move over Ronda Rousey, a new UFC star is coming to WWE.

WWE is the ultimate pantomime, there is no doubt about that.

We’ve seen match ups that we never thought possible whether it be Ronda Rousey teaming up with The Rock to knock the bejaysus out of Stephanie McMahon or Floyd Mayweather squaring up to the Big Show.

Who doesn’t love when the elite athletes from UFC and boxing come into sports entertainment world? It is truly a spectacle.

Well, it is looking likely that newly crowned women’s featherweight champion Cris Cyborg will be the next big name to appear in the WWE ring and it will be against Irish wrestler Becky Lynch if it is to happen.

Cyborg (real name Cristiane Santos) has been very active on social media in an effort to promote the unconfirmed bout which looks to be scheduled for Summerslam, one of WWE’s biggest events.

Poor Becky Lynch doesn’t realize you can’t armbar someone when you’re bent over their knee getting spanked! #CyborgNation I want Becky at #SummerSlam then let’s make the WWE give the fans the fight…

Knock…knock…WWE

Lynch, who is from Baldoyle in Dublin, Tweeted the Brazilian in the buildup to her UFC title bout last Saturday.

The Tweet got the attention of Cyborg.

And now the 18-1 fighter is pushing for the fight, calling for the attention of Triple H to make it all happen.

Summerslam is due to take place on  20 August but Cyborg has not appeared on WWE Smackdown thus far but with her recent victory over Tonya Evinger at UFC 214 means that her training schedules has no doubt cleared up meaning that there is more time for some sweet sweet sports entertainment.
