Khabib issued a threat to Dana White after victory at UFC 229

It’s hard to know whether he was being serious or not…

Khabib Nurmagomedov went off on one last Saturday night.

It wasn’t enough that he completely dominated Conor McGregor from start to finish. The Russian fighter decided to go one step further following the fourth round stoppage win by scaling the cage and leaping into the crowd to fight McGregor’s jui jitsu coach, Dillon Danis.

The post-fight scrap was all anybody was able to talk about after UFC 229. On a night that we should have been talking about Khabib for all the right reasons, we were left talking about him for all the wrong ones.

What happened in the T-Mobile Arena was so bad that UFC President Dana White was unable to wrap Khabib’s belt around his waist out of fear that it would incite a riot.

“If I put this belt on you, people will lose their shit and start throwing stuff in The Octagon… Other people will get hurt.” White said to Khabib.

Khabib eventually received his world title belt, presumably backstage after the event.

However, ‘The Eagle’ took to Instagram afterwards to let the UFC president know what the repercussions would have been had he not received the lightweight title on Saturday.

We’re not even sure if he was joking or not!!
