Jon Jones actually proves to be the good guy in beef with Chuck Liddell

Say what?

Role reversal.

It’s widely accepted that Jon Jones is the greatest light heavyweight, if not the best fighter to ever grace an Octagon. The man has beaten murderer after murderer to become the P4P king of the promotion.

However, former UFC light heavyweight champion Chuck Liddell seems to think that Jon Jones isn’t all that. On a recent episode of The Fighter and The Kid podcast, the legendary fighter claimed that Bones would have had a lot of problems fighting him.

“I still think if he fought someone like me in my prime he would have a lot of trouble.”

“The problem is he doesn’t hit hard enough to hurt me and he’s not going to out-wrestle me. He’s not going to out-wrestle me and I hit too hard for him. I would catch him sooner or later. Styles make fights.”

It was a bit of an unnecessary swipe at the man who will be aiming to win back the belt he never lost against Daniel Cormier at UFC 197 and Jones took the high road with his response on Twitter.

Well, he mostly took the high road. He also tweeted a burn so awful that we feel obliged to give him a free pass. At least he had the decency to delete it.
