Interestingly, Kavanagh sounded unsure on whether or not the UFC featherweight champion would return to 145 lbs to defend his title but did admit that the prospect of cornering McGregor in Madison Square Garden was an exciting option for the next fight after UFC 202.
When presented with a question on how 'The Notorious' would fare in a mixed martial arts bout with Amir Khan, who recently expressed an interest in swapping the ring for the Octagon, Kavanagh had a succinct response.
"That'd be a very brief, bad night for Mr. Khan," he said.
