If he stays true to his word, Joe Duffy will not step into an UFC emblazoned ring until this summer.
Judging by the latest snaps of ‘Irish Joe’, taken in Montreal last night, his eye may just about be in functioning order by then.
The Donegal native endured some serious damage above, and to, his left eye in his decision loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 195.
For those of you who may have forgotten how Duffy looked after the fight, here is a refresher:
The swelling around Duffy’s eye has eased by now but his sclera [the white part] is still a shade of scarlet.
It did not stop the MMA fighter from having a good night out in Fiddler’s Green, ‘Montreal’s most authentic Irish Pub’.
