It's another convincing triumph for the UFC star.

Conor McGregor's amazing 2015 was the dominant storyline here at SportsJOE, as readers just couldn't get enough of the Notorious as he climbed the UFC featherweight ladder and claimed the title from long-time rival Jose Aldo at UFC 194 last month. More than 3,000 of you voted in our poll, as our esteemed writers made their cases, and the Dubliner garnered a huge 52 per cent of the vote, three times the support for second-placed Jon Walters. Republic of Ireland star Walters polled a respectable 17 per cent, ahead of rugby legend Paul O'Connell (9.7 per cent) and NBA sharpshooter Stephen Curry (9 per cent).
