Irishman’s plea for Conor McGregor to fight in Croke Park quickly going viral

The internet is a strange and wonderful place.

Earlier this week, social media went mad for a live stream of a puddle in Newcastle, now Facebook users are sharing one Irishman’s post to Conor McGregor in their droves.

The message posted on Friday quickly racked up over 17,000 likes and nearly 200 shares.

Colly Maguire asks the undisputed UFC featherweight champion to disregard the UFC’s efforts to try to get him to fight in Las Vegas and return to his home country for his next bout. He argues that his other half won’t allow him to travel to Vegas again for his next bout because of the financial toll.

He closes his piece by suggesting that the atmosphere and huge crowd in Croke Park would make up for any revenue lost from PPV.
