It’s morphin’ time!

There was outrage among the MMA community on Sunday morning when it was officially announced that former WWE superstar CM Punk would be joining the UFC. Since then, there has been a lot of speculation over who will get the opportunity to give the ex-wrestler not just his first fight in the promotion, but his first real action in the sport.

Jason David Frank, aka the Green Power Ranger from the television show Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, has officially  thrown his hat into the ring as the race to find CM Punk’s first opponent in the UFC continues.

The former actor spent some time as a fighter in the late noughties and is unbeaten in MMA. He holds a professional record  of 1-0 and a 4-0 at amateur level. All of his wins have come by first-round finishes either through KO or submission.

He posted a photo on Instagram asking his fans to put pressure on Dana White and the UFC matchmakers to sign him to the promotion and put him up against Punk inside the Octagon.
