With all the buzz surrounding the result of the main event, you'd be forgiven for forgetting that there were other fights on the UFC 193 card. One of which finished with a sight that will forever be burned into our memories, the lightweight scrap between Jake Matthews and Akbahr Arreola, Arreola almost sealed the win in the first round with a huge head kick that put the hometown fighter on the canvas. https://twitter.com/ufc/status/665719511190900736?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw However, Matthews held in there and managed to get his opponent to the ground where he opened up his face (quite literally) with some heavy ground and pound. The doctor inspected the fighter's cuts at the end of the round and deemed him unfit to continue, which we assume was mainly because of the huge gash above his eye. Matthews was awarded the TKO victory. eye split
