Fighters often say that the fight begins during the face-off because the first fighter to break eye contact has already shown a sign of weakness.

Well Holly Holm and Marion Reneau were defiantly battling to concede so much as a blink when they came face to face at the weigh-ins for UFC San Diego last night. The pair of bantamweights stared into one another's souls for a preposterous 25 seconds as the prompts from Joe Silva to wrap it up went ignored. The staredown eventually came to an end when Reneau's coach pulled his fighter away which, in our books, means Holm wins.
