Arguably the greatest female fighter in the world could be in hot water with the long arm of the law.

Former Strikeforce and current Invicta featherweight champion Cristiane Justino got into a heated altercation with UFC strawweight Angela Magana at the UFC Athlete Retreat in Las Vegas. The dispute ended when the Brazilian landed a punch on Magana’s face, leaving her with a busted lip.

It is understood that Cyborg was upset with personal tweets Magana sent at her expense. According to reports, one tweet in particular making fun of her physical appearance in a photo where she was visiting children in hospital who were battling cancer, sparked Cyborg’s aggression.

Magana revealed on Twitter that she would be pressing charges over the incident. TMZ then confirmed that Cyborg was cited for battery and could face a court appearance.

The publication also reported that Magana went to the hospital and was treated for a cut on the inside of her lip, an ‘acute head injury’ and ‘cervical strain.’ It was also reported that Cyborg was contacted by the police, but she did not wish to give her account of what happened.

Footage of the altercation was released by Cage Pages on Monday.
