It looks like we may know who Conor McGregor could choose as his next opponent.
Justin Gaethje made his UFC debut on Friday night and made quite the impression on Conor McGregor.
Gaethje was fighting in Las Vegas for The Ultimate Fighter: The Redemption and was in the main event fighting against Michael Johnson.
Any UFC fighter will know that Johnson is no bum having entered the cage with Nate Diaz, Khabib Nurmagomedov and Dustin Porier.
Johnson was defeated by his fellow American at the end of the second round after a number of knees to the head.

There was a lot of hype surrounding Gaethje coming into his debut after previously going 17-0 in his MMA career along with 14 knockouts.
The win over Johnson only furthered the belief that he could be in contention for a UFC Lightweight Championship shot and the man who holds that belt took notice.
That was a good contest. Two fighters, fighting.

After the fight, Gaethje mentioned Tony Ferguson as a possible opponent and a win against the California man would mean a number one contender spot would be likely.
Given the reputation, Gaethje is regarded as one of the most exciting fighters on the planet and that is why he could in line for a money fight with McGregor.
After his win over Eddie Alvarez back in November the fighter said:
“I need to see active. I need to see activity. I need to see consistency. I need to see me. If you want me to come and change your life, if you want me to come pick you, you better have some damn reasons for me to do that.”
He has a reason and now we wait.
