UFC 205 whetted your appetite for more high-octane MMA action, but can’t wait until the next card? Kingdom might be just what you need.

Kingdom is the first TV series that shows a realistic depiction of the fight world and it has been getting incredibly positive reviews.

The show tells the story of Navy St, a Venice Beach MMA gym owned by retired former world champion Alvey Kulina, played by Frank Grillo, who you may remember as the Greg Jackson-esque trainer in the critically acclaimed MMA movie Warrior.

Navy St is home to some of the most talented fighters in the world, including Alvey’s two sons, Nate and Jay. Nate is a young up-and-comer played by Nick Jonas who has been backed to do great things in the sport, much like Rory MacDonald in his early years. Whereas Jay is a trash-talking, sharp-dressed showman who has some issues keeping his personal and professional life separate.

Fresh from a one-year stint in the slammer, Ryan Wheeler may be looking to get back into the sport and Alvey sees this as an opportunity to recruit the former great to bring some buzz back to Navy St.

Kingdom features some of the best and most realistic MMA fight scenes you’ll see outside of a cage and with powerhouse performances, coupled with the captivating storylines, this is sure to be a big hit with fight fans. Keep an eye out for the cameos too from the likes of Jackson, Kenny Florian, Cub Swanson, Bryan Callen and more.
