Eyelids aren't supposed to open like that.

What Nieky Holzken did to Raymond Daniels to claim the Glory kickboxing welterweight strap will forever be burned into our memories. Holzken began to land with serious ferocity in the third round. The Dutch fighter caught his opponent in a clinch and cracked him with a vicious right knee to the dome that opened up a horrific cut on Daniels’ left eyelid. Blood immediately flowed from the wound, blurring Daniels' vision. Holzken capitalised on his foe's lack of sight by heaping even more pressure and connecting with forceful punches to the head and body. When Daniels became boxed into a corner, he said something to Holzken, who showed wonderful sportsmanship and backed away. Referee John McCarthy swiftly stepped in and had a brief conversation with the hurt fighter. He took a look at the cut before stopping the fight 1:36 into the third stanza.
