Cathal Pendred might not have got the decision he was after last night but he still recognised the significance of what was happening in Las Vegas. As the Irish invaded the Nevada city, and Conor McGregor scrapped his way to a momentous interim belt in what was a record-breaking night in UFC history, Pendred was a proud Irish man.
