Dana White is pulling out all the stops to make UFC 196 weigh-in one to remember

If you are going to call a press event ‘Unstoppable’ you had better back it up.

Dana White has made some calls, twisted some elbows and splashed some cash. The world’s MMA media will be descending on Las Vegas on the March 4-6 weekend.

The main event, on a weekend of enticing action, will be Conor McGregor attempting to dethrone UFC lightweight champion Rafael Dos Anjos at UFC 196.

The weigh-ins for huge UFC fight nights are boisterous, sell-out affairs and White is using that scale-tipper to promote a series of upcoming PPVs.

UFC’s ‘Unstoppable’ will follow in the successful tracks of last year’s ‘Go Big’ event, which was dominated by McGreor and his ‘red panty’ comments.

Unstoppable will announce a host of upcoming match-ups, all the way up to the UFC 200 card on July 9.

The confirmed fighters set to show up for the March 4 event are:

  • Junior dos Santos and Ben Rothwell (set for UFC Fight Night 86 in April)
  • Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson (UFC on Fox 19, April 16)
  • Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones (UFC 197 main event, April 23)
  • Demetrious Johnson and Henry Cejudo (UFC 197 co-main event)
  • Luke Rockhold and Chris Weidman (UFC 199, June)
