In professional wrestling, a ‘shooter’ is someone who is actually capable of causing serious damage in a fight if required.
Presuming there are still a few shooters remaining in the WWE, if Conor McGregor ever decides to swap his MMA career for a spot in wrestling, we can’t see the anyone holding back in any scuffles with ‘The Notorious’.
McGregor has continued his verbal assault on the WWE world by singling out John Cena in his latest comments and there is no way they’re going to go down well.
“What’s the main guy? John Cena,” McGregor said at a media day on Friday. “He’s 40. He’s 40 years of age. He’s walking around in a luminous orange t-shirt and a headband talking about nobody can see him. We can see him right there. He’s a big fat, 40-year-old failed Mr. Olympia motherfucker.”
Last week, McGregor provoked the ire of many pro-wrestlers by slamming their industry when he was asked if he would ever choose to swap the Octagon for the the ring.
They hit back publicly, and angrily, with Ric Flair leading the counter by accusing the Dubliner of stealing his gimmick.

“I don’t know what to say to Ric Flair,” said McGregor. “This ain’t no gimmick. This is the real shit. I’ve got to get in and fight a man for real. With no script, with no nothing.
“He was talking about bringing some other wrestler guys out to challenge me. Come bring it, then. This is the real shit over here. You know want to come over, we can fight no problem. A few of them are talking about the street and all. If they want to do that, come at me and see what happens.”
McGregor is not wholly against the WWE as, just like he did last week, he reiterated his respect for the legends of the ring.
After Diaz finishes you again, I dare you to try guys like Dolph, Brock, or Fit.

“No disrespect to the Dons of the game — the McMahons, Vinny Mac is a fucking legend,” McGregor said. “They wrote Vinny off a few years ago when he dropped from the billions and then he rose back up and he’s back in the billionaire club. What he’s been able to do with that bunch of dweebs he has over there at the moment is phenomenal and I respect him for that.
“Then of course the OG’s that have been there — The Rock, ‘Stone Cold’, they’re all cool motherfuckers and even Ric Flair’s a cool motherfucker but I’m just speaking the truth. That new age of guys are just absolute dweebs and they seem messed up in the head. I don’t know what it is, when I hear them talk and I see the way they carry themselves, they just don’t seem right in the head. So that might have been a bit ruthless of me to say, but again it ain’t trash talk — it’s true talk.”
The reigning UFC featherweight champion was asked again whether or not he would ever consider working under the McMahon brand and his response was typically cocksure.
“I’ve got them all wrapped up on my little finger,” McGregor said. “The boxing game, the MMA game. Now I’ve got those wrestling dweebs in here as well. I’ve got the whole shit locked up.”
