Then, of course, there was that devastating news that Nurmagomedov's botched weight cut forced him out of UFC 209's co-main for the interim strap. White admitted that McGregor 'wants' to be UFC champion, but claimed that he 'doesn't want' to defend it. Nurmagomedov's manager, Ali Abdelaziz, confirmed to the LA Times that it's stated in the fight contract that McGregor will be stripped after the fight.
