Conor McGregor produces comedy gold with Dennis Siver trash-talk

He's really kicked the trash-talking up a notch

Conor McGregor has really stepped up his trash-talking game ahead of his grudge match against Dennis Siver in January.

The Irish UFC superstar has been continuing the mind games ahead of the Siver bout. When asked about his huge weight cut to get down to 145 lbs, the Notorious saw the opportunity to showcase his confidence, but at the same time have a dig at his German opponent’s smaller stature.

It makes it all that much sweeter. Especially when I’m going in against a 5-foot-5 overblown German that’s too small, too slow and too stocky. It makes all the sense. I like to bully these little people.

McGregor was unrelenting with his abuse aimed at Siver. The German featherweight tested positive for performance enhancing drugs during a post-fight test last year, which earned him a nine-month suspension from MMA. McGregor thinks that him using the banned substances had adverse effects on his appearance.

He’s muscular but he’s really small. He’s a weird looking, deformed looking guy. He was caught cheating at one stage in his career. He was on the steroids and he got banned for it so I think when you take some of the stuff like that your body becomes weird.

You look weird, especially when you come off it. Even your head, I believe. So I think he’s a weird looking little German guy and I’m going to go in and whoop his ass in beautiful Boston City. ‘Ireland No. 2’ I like to call it.

The Notorious also gave his thoughts on his arch rival Cub Swanson. The American, who’s fighting Frankie Edgar this weekend, claims that the UFC have promised him a shot at the belt if he defeats the number three-ranked featherweight in Texas. This contradicts what Dana White said about McGregor being the logical number one contender, and therefore next in line to take on Jose Aldo for the title.

McGregor thinks that the promotion may have been leading on Swanson and affirmed his belief that he will be the fighter to take on the mighty Aldo for the coveted UFC belt.

I believe he’s been promised. [UFC] looked him dead in the eye and said, ‘Cub, I promise you, beat this man and you have a title shot.’

They looked him dead in the eye, so even if he wins and they still don’t give him the title shot I want to be there when they tell him, ‘No, I’m sorry. Remember that promise we promised you where we looked you dead in the eyes? It was all lies.
