Conor McGregor offers withering comment on Brock Lesnar’s failed drug tests

"How can I respect that?"

Conor McGregor is not too sold on the ability of WWE superstars to transition smoothly to professional mixed martial arts.

MMA and pro-wrestling have a storied history with one another, with a number of fighters moving to the scripted world of sports entertainment and several professional wrestlers trying their hand at fighting over the years.

Brock Lesnar, Ken Shamrock, Dan Severn, and CM Punk have all held contracts with both the UFC and the WWE, the largest organisations in both realms.

The spotlight has been shone brightly on Lesnar in recent weeks after his successful return to the Octagon at UFC 200 was marred by the post-fight revelation of two failed drugs tests.

And ‘The Notorious’ has admitted that he finds it hard to respect the former UFC heavyweight champion due to the fact that he tested positive for a banned substance last month.

“For the most part those WWE guys are pussies,” McGregor said during a conference call on Friday night. “They’re messed up pussies if you ask me.

“I mean fair play to Brock (Lesnar), he got in there and fought but, at the end of the day, he was juiced up to the fucking eyeballs so how can I respect that?

“The other guy (CM Punk) hasn’t fought yet so I don’t know about him yet.

“There are some dons in that wrestling game. The McMahons, they’re dons. Triple H is a don. The Rock is a don. But the rest of them are fucking pussies!”
