At the start of the year, Paul Dunne found himself ranked at 1,548 in the world and without a Wikipedia page to his name.
What a difference a few months makes.
After pulling off some nigh-on sorcery at the British Open that saw him jump 719 places to 896 in the world rankings, the 22-year-old dropped back in the last few months to 942.
But Dunne, who was returning to St. Andrew's for his first European Tour event as a professional, got his progress right back on track with a top 20 finish in the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship at the weekend which earned him a tasty €47,530.

And the 12-under-par performance put on by the Greystones man is reflected in this week's updated rankings which see Dunne move from 942 to 737.
To see if Dunne can continue his meteoric rise, you can catch him tearing it up at this weekend's British Masters which starts on Thursday.
