That’s what the GAA’s all about.

Dr Crokes are the All-Ireland champions after a hard-fought 1-09 to 1-07 win over Slaughtneil in Croke Park on St Patrick’s Day.

Hunger proved to the be the best sauce as the win marked the Kerry champions’ first All-Ireland in a quarter of a century, and it was also living legend Colm Cooper’s first time winning the competition period.

While giving the obligatory victory speech, captain Johnny Buckley called out 10-year-old Amy O’Connor, a Kerry fan who has been battling serious illness over the past year. The crowd roared she lifted the Andy Merrigan Cup with the captain.
