The Red Hands clinched the first title up for grabs for Ulster sides this season - like they have done for the last four years - but looked sharp en route.
A storming second half from Mickey Harte's charges guided Tyrone to success over a Cavan side who were blown away after the break with the introductions of Darren McCurry, Peter Harte, and Matty Donnelly guiding the champions to another gong.
Despite leading by four at the break at 0-10 to 0-6, Cavan squandered their lead and, when Niall McKenna latched onto a Sean Cavanagh knock-down from a high ball, he made no mistake and decisively found the goals in the 55th minute. Tyrone never looked back and went on to secure a 1-13 to 0-10 victory.
