VINE: John Mullane was absolutely bulling after Waterford beat Cork in the U21 championship

We don’t want to point any fingers

Unfortunately we cannot say the same for John Mullane who looked like he was pointing a good few digits at someone or something in the immediate aftermath of tonight’s U21 championship win over Cork.

The Waterford hurling legend is a selector on the U21 management ticket and was caught on camera giving a typically passionate speech to the team after their impressive 1-21 to 1-11 win over the Rebels in Pairc Ui Rinn.

The Deise continued a recent run of very impressive form over the Rebels with the win, and now go on to play All-Ireland champions Clare in the Munster semi final, with man-of-the-match Shane Bennett scoring 1-4 just hours after finishing the Leaving Cert.

We can only guess what Mullane said to the players but surely the famous line ‘I love my county’ was uttered.

Intense is not the word to use here.
