VIDEO: Westmeath’s two wrecking balls feature in the best GAA scores of the week

Crash bang wallop what a victory

We’ve heard they’re replacing the nets in Croker.

That’s because Westmeath’s three goal salvo against their deadly rivals, Meath, blew some size-five, O’Neills-shaped holes in them during their historic win last Sunday.

Unsurprisingly, the goals from John Heslin and Kieran Martin both feature in the best scores to trouble umpires last weekend.

Meath fans can console themselves with the only bright spot from last week’s game as the strike from Bryan McMahon is among the highlights.

In fact, there is something for Kildare, Derry, Leitrim and Louth fans as well as hardly souls from Down who can gaze slackjawed again at the majesty of Conor Laverty, or Tyrone fans who can’t get enough of Sean Cavanagh doing what he does best.
