Video: TJ Reid scored a fine goal for Ballyhale today then he took time to ‘congratulate’ his marker

The Kilkenny man made sure he showed who was the boss

Reid enjoyed that one…

There isn’t much, if any, tradition of elaborate goal celebrations in football or hurling but TJ Reid may have taken the art of ‘letting your marker know you did them’ to a new level.

In the AIB GAA All Ireland Club semi-final between Reid’s Ballyhale’s Shamrocks and Gort of Galway, the forward took a beautiful flick down from his brother Eoin, raced away from defender Aidan Harte.

On the way back from the goal Reid made not one, but two attempts to ‘congratulate’ his would be marker. Was there a bit of verbals earlier in the game?

We’ll have to give TJ a buzz later to find out.
