Underdogs is coming back to TG4 and you can apply

Conan Doherty

Are you tired of being overlooked?

Are you not getting the credit you deserve?

Is the manager really a bollocks or is it time for some home truths?

Underdogs is returning to TG4 and can finally prove it to the whole world that you are good enough to play county.

No more hard luck stories. No more myths about a south county bias. Underdogs is here to hoover up the rest of the country that has been missed by the respective squads around the island for whatever reason. This is your last chance.

The legendary TG4 series will once again begin the search to find a squad of ambitious men with enough drive, skill and passion to take on one of Ireland’s best Gaelic football teams.

Having launched the careers of a number of All-Ireland champions, not least Kerry powerhouse Kieran Donaghy and Cork’s Pearse O’Neill, you can apply to come under the wing of some iconic names and show what you have.

You can apply if you meet the following criteria:

  • Male players who have never played gaelic football at a senior intercounty GAA championship level.
  • All applicants must be 18 years of age on/by the 1stMay 2018 to be eligible.

TG4 and Adare Productions are now inviting applications for the new series of Underdogs. Nationwide trials will take place in May 2018.

And you can apply right here.

Deadline: May 23.
