It’s getting clearer by the minute that May 23rd will go down in Irish history as the country says yes to gay marriage.
We’re waiting for the full results to come in but it looks very much like that Ireland will become the first country in the world to legislate for gay marriage after a popular vote.
Already loads of sports stars have backed today’s vote but we think that Kilkenny’s John Walsh has summed up how many Kilkenny fans feel about one of the country’s best hurlers in one magnificent tweet.
Hogan was playing for his club Danesfort today and was in inspired form as they faced St Martins in the Kilkenny senior hurling league. Hogan’s outfit led St Martin’s by 2-12 to 1-6 at half-time with Hogan scoring 1-9.
With the day that’s in it Walsh decided to ask for Richie’s hand in marriage after an incredible 30 minutes of hurling
Class.
